CLAYMONT, Del. - Dec. 12, 2025 - PRLog -- Gen Z is redefining personal growth, shifting from traditional self-help books to structured assessments, according to new data from MyIQ.

In a survey of 19,472 users aged 18-26, 62% reported replacing at least one book purchase with a test in the past year, with uptake highest among 20-22-year-olds at 68%.

Users cited clear next steps (71%) and the ability to benchmark against peers (76%) as key motivators.

Factors such as efficiency, privacy, and immediate feedback outweighed cost, highlighting a preference for measurable, structured growth over abstract narratives.

This trend reflects broader generational values shaped by digital platforms, short attention spans, and hyper-personalized content.

For MyIQ, which combines cognitive, personality, and relationship assessments with personalized insights, this behavioral shift positions tests as central tools in how Gen Z understands and develops themselves, reframing self-inquiry as a feedback-driven, actionable process rather than a traditional learning journey.
