WatSPEED Launches Global AI-CTO Program for Senior Tech Leaders

WATERLOO, Ontario - Dec. 6, 2025 - PRLog -- WatSPEED, the professional education arm of the University of Waterloo, has launched its new Chief Technology and AI Officer (AI-CTO) program, a six-month, live-online executive learning experience designed to help senior technology leaders convert AI and advanced technology strategies into measurable business impact.

Developed and delivered by Waterloo's expert faculty and supported by global industry professionals, the program blends advanced AI education with financial strategy, organizational leadership and ethical governance. Enrolment and learner services will be managed by upGrad, a global higher-education platform offering programs from certifications to doctoral degrees, under Waterloo's academic supervision.

"Artificial intelligence is no longer a pilot initiative, it is now central to business strategy," said Myleeta AgaWilliams, CEO, International Consumer Business, upGrad. "Organizations worldwide need leaders who combine algorithmic depth with strategic vision."

The 25-week program is designed for CTOs, CIOs, CDOs, CAIOs and their leadership teams. Participants gain expertise in cloud architecture, MLOps, FinOps, responsible AI, digital transformation, and board-level strategy. Graduates receive a University of Waterloo certificate, a 90-day CTO roadmap, an AI investment analysis and a transformation framework.
