Multimedia Audiobook Trilogy Features Experiments Within An Experiment, Plays and Original Songs

Theme, Characters, Storyline of "Pioneering" Canadian Audiobook Concept Inspired by Experimental Nature

COURTENAY COMOX, British Columbia - Dec. 3, 2025 - PRLog -- Experimenting means to test. And there are many varieties of these. James Allan Krause, PhD, Canadian author of Wetion (2nd edn) made use of several producing The Trilogy: Looking Back, Here and Now, Searching Forward, a novel new audiobook series. Print and electronic versions of the trilogy are also available for the first two. These audiobooks offer a book with stories connected to a full play and original music - essentially experimental fiction with multimedia features.

Works combining all three are unique. Goggle's AI Mode, itself an on-going experiment, provided the following response to a question requesting examples of similar creations:

"A work directly combining all three elements (book, full play script, and original music score) within a single, cohesive, and commercially published volume or integrated media project would be a highly unique and pioneering piece of experimental fiction. Creating such a work would involve a high degree of interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative publishing methods."

Wetion
(2nd edn), first of the trilogy, begins with an experiment. Addy, its main character, believes memories acquired by ancestors can be refreshed by consuming substances native to places inhabited. The Genographic Project, a scientific experiment conducted by National Geographic, analyzed the author's DNA and charted the migration route of his predecessors. This was incorporated into the storyline.

Throughout the series, experiments form parts of the plot. For example, Edam, a privileged instructor from Charlemagne's court, devised one to teach his students the principles of cause and effect. It had bizarre consequences. In The Pilot and the Parrot, second in the series, a passenger aboard the main character's airplane was caught smuggling hummingbirds for use in a quirky experiment, causing a near disaster. In the futuristic work, The Gardens of Venus, life in the clouds of Earth's sister planet provides the ultimate test. All told, more than seven experiments are written into the stories presented.

These works can be ordered through local bookstores, such as Indigo, or through on-line distributors like Libro.fm, Kobo or Amazon. Wetion's (2nd edn) audiobook version can be heard through the Library and Archives of Canada in Ottawa.

The company respectfully acknowledges the land on which the books and audiobook musicals have been produced is the unceded traditional territory of the K'ómoks First Nation, traditional keepers of the place.
