DUBLIN - Dec. 3, 2025 - PRLog -- The EcoFashion Project successfully concluded a dynamic and educational mobility week in Paris, bringing together students and teachers from Spain, Italy, and Ireland for an immersive exploration of sustainable fashion, cultural heritage, and hands-on creative practice.
The mobility opened with a warm welcome at Paul Poiret High School, where participants discovered the school's innovative training spaces, including sewing studios, digital pattern rooms, and creative workshops. Teachers took part in a meaningful session to create therapeutic "Heart Pillows" supporting women recovering from breast cancer, while students designed their own hand-stitched teddy bears, learning core skills in textile work and sustainable design. A full cultural immersion followed, beginning with a historic rally through medieval Paris. Participants visited landmark sites such as Notre Dame Cathedral, Île de la Cité, the Conciergerie, the Sorbonne, the Panthéon, and the Luxembourg Gardens. A scenic boat trip along the Seine offered views of Paris through the centuries, ending with the glittering Eiffel Tower.

The program also included a dedicated morning of student presentations on national legal frameworks related to sustainability and recycling. Young participants shared insights from Spain, Italy, and Ireland, showcasing how European countries are shaping environmental policies within the fashion sector. Art and fashion history were key components of the visit. Participants explored the powerful Rick Owens exhibition "The Temple of Love" at Palais Galliera, as well as "Paul Poiret: Fashion Is the Party" at the MAD Museum, gaining inspiration from modern and historical perspectives on design.

Hands-on learning continued with a practical workshop on textile recycling, where students experienced the first steps of the circular fashion chain, including sorting, stain removal, washing, ironing, and understanding dry-cleaning processes. One of the highlights was a visit to Saint Pierre's Market in Montmartre, where participants discovered a wide variety of fabrics—linen, denim, organza, wool, and more. The day concluded with a guided tour of Blue Tango, an eco-responsible fashion atelier demonstrating sustainable production methods and creative reuse of materials. The mobility week reflected the core values of the EcoFashion Project: creativity, sustainability, cultural exchange, and skill development. Participants returned home with new knowledge, technical experience, and a deeper understanding of eco-conscious fashion practices in Europe.
The EcoFashion Consortium extends its appreciation to the host school, teachers, students, and partners whose collaboration made this mobility an inspiring success.
