| Santa Fe Pro Musica Appoints New Executive Director"Daniel James's proven leadership and deep commitment to the performing arts make him the ideal person to guide Santa Fe Pro Musica into its next chapter," said Board Chair C. Fish Greenfield. Mr. James will work closely with Artistic Director Colin Jacobsen and the Board of Trustees in shaping the organization's strategic vision, operational leadership, and community engagement initiatives. Jacobsen said, "I've been fortunate to work closely with Tom O'Connor these past few years, pointing Santa Fe Pro Musica into the future. We've been keeping our ears and eyes open for someone who could keep us moving forward and we're so thrilled to have found Daniel James. In my conversations with Daniel, it's clear that he has such love and commitment to music, being a highly accomplished flutist himself. It's also apparent that he has a deep understanding of all the financial and administrative aspects that go into making the music happen, and both a personal vision and collaborative spirit. I'm so excited about the place Pro Musica finds itself in artistically and organizationally." "I am honored to join the dedicated team at Santa Fe Pro Musica and to work closely with Colin Jacobsen and the Trustees. I look forward to galvanizing the organization's efforts to inspire and educate audiences of all ages by delivering exceptional artistic experiences throughout our community," said Mr. James. Mr. James has most recently served as Director of Artistic Administration at the Santa Fe Opera and prior to that as Associate Director of Artistic Planning at Houston Grand Opera. A graduate of the Juilliard School of Music he trained as flutist and played with several orchestras in Italy including two seasons at Teatro La Fenice and with Claudio Abbado leading Orchestra Mozart.
