PRLog -- The Cyclone Desander, also known as a Cuttings Bed Breaker, is a critical downhole tool installed on the drill string. Its primary function is to break up and remove the cuttings bed that forms on the low side of boreholes, particularly in deviated, horizontal, and extended-reach sections. During drilling, rock fragments (cuttings) generated by the drill bit can settle and accumulate due to gravity, forming a compacted layer known as a cuttings bed. This bed can increase torque and drag, cause drag and packing, and even lead to severe downhole incidents like stuck pipe. This tool is designed to effectively address these issues, ensuring safer and more efficient drilling operations.
