The cast have begun filming in New Zealand at Port Levy & Woodend, North Canterbury - the production filmed a "Gillies Ball" plus Haggis at the windswept "Kiloch Castle" in the Otago region.

The First in the series of films Premiered Internationally at the pre-eminent  Electric Cinema in London, Great Britain, The Dante Cinema in Venice, Italy & the historic Lumiere Cinema, Christchurch, NZ along with participation at the Cannes Festival (Festival du Cannes) & the Venice Film Festival (Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica della Biennale di Venezia) and it is making its way around the world with translation into Italian for an Italian tour underway at present.

The film has been described as a New Gothic Trilogy: - Anandas the Monk lives in a time where Electricity is a new invention, Water, Fire, Steam, and Wind are the main forms of energy. Anandas is asked by the Abbott to take up residence in the Forest at the Hermitage for a full year. The monk falls afoul of the townsfolk in the local village led by Mayor Fandacious Simplistus & he is tested as to his resolve to stay for the full year at The Hermitage.
