Much of the burden stems from Westminster's long‑term contract with the Piedmont Municipal Power Agency (PMPA), which residents say is outdated and financially harmful. Bronson, who earns more than $140,000 annually and resides outside Westminster, plays a central role in managing these contracts. Because he lives elsewhere, he avoids the same high rates that Westminster families must pay. "Westminster deserves leaders who share our struggles and fight for our future," said one resident.
