Prices settled at USD 803/MT (Propylene Polymer Grade DEL US Gulf) by the end of June, driven by weaker downstream demand, ample supply availability, and falling feedstock costs across the region.
Asia-Pacific (APAC) - In the Asia-Pacific region, the Propylene Price Index dropped by 5.1% during Q2 2025 compared with Q1. Prices concluded the quarter at USD 876/MT (Propylene FOB Qingdao), reflecting moderate declines amid balanced inventories, steady production, and subdued demand from the polypropylene and derivative chemical sectors.
Europe - The Propylene Price Index in Europe decreased by 3.5% over Q2 2025 compared to Q1, settling at USD 928/MT (FD Hamburg) by late June. The downturn was primarily influenced by weaker consumption in downstream markets and stable production rates, which kept supply levels adequate despite reduced industrial activity.
Middle East & Africa (MEA) - The Propylene Price Index in the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region slipped marginally by 1.3% in Q2 2025 versus the previous quarter. Prices settled at USD 835/MT (FOB Al Jubail) by the end of June, supported by consistent export volumes, stable refinery operations, and steady regional demand.
