South Allegheny Youth Soccer Club Appeals for Community Support After Theft

MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. - Oct. 22, 2025 - PRLog -- The South Allegheny Youth Soccer Club is asking for community support following a break-in at its concession and storage shed earlier this week. The club's president says she is heartbroken after discovering that thieves stole money and equipment vital to running the organization's youth soccer program.

The stolen property included the cash box from weekend concessions and numerous pieces of athletic gear used for practices and matches. Items typically stored in the shed include portable youth soccer goals, cones, training bibs, first-aid kits, and field lining equipment. Many of those items will need replacement before the next training cycle begins.

"Our players are kids from right here in the community," said the club's president. "We're run entirely by volunteers. Every dollar from those concession sales goes back into keeping registration affordable and maintaining our fields. Losing this equipment—especially the portable goals, which cost several hundred dollars each—hurts us deeply."
