![]() Oom Yung Doe Traditional Martial Arts TournamentOom Yung Doe Students Demonstrate Skill and Spirit at Our Fall Tournament
The tournament opened with instructor demonstrations, highlighting the precision, focus, and discipline that define Oom Yung Doe training. Each student performance showed how consistent practice builds coordination, strength, and confidence. For newer students, this was their first chance to present what they have learned in front of an audience, while experienced students demonstrated the power and grace that come with years of dedication. As Grandmaster "Iron" Kim often taught, "Winning over others is victory, winning over yourself is success." That spirit guided every participant, reminding students that the real goal of training and tournaments is personal growth and self-mastery. Families and friends played an important role throughout the day, creating an encouraging and supportive atmosphere that reflected the unity and tradition of the Kirkland and Northgate Oom Yung Doe schools. Students and Instructors are now preparing for the next major event, the National Traditional Moo Doe Virtual Tournament, which will take place next month. This tournament brings together Oom Yung Doe students from across the country to compete and demonstrate their skills at the national level.
