Giacomo Mareschi Danieli: from engineer to leader in the global steel industry Giacomo Mareschi Danieli attended the Polytechnic University of Milan, where in 2005 he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. After completing his studies, in 2006 he began his career with Danieli Group. His initial role was within ABS (Acciaierie Bertoli Safau), one of Danieli's main divisions specializing in steel plant production. During this early stage of his professional journey, he engaged in several international assignments that contributed to broaden his expertise and global perspective. If the previous experiences in his home country laid the foundation for his future endeavors, it was the years spent abroad that truly defined the trajectory of his career. The first international assignment took him to Abu Dhabi. Here he spent three years in construction yards. A period that was crucial in honing his skills in project management and deepening his understanding of the global steel industry's dynamics. After that, Giacomo Mareschi Danieli moved to Ukraine, assuming roles of increasing responsibility, including those of Project Coordinator and Manager of the Interpipe Steel plant. These positions helped him build a strong ability to oversee complex projects and lead large teams, solidifying his reputation as a capable and trustworthy leader in the field. The professional journey continued to Thailand where he later as Head of Macro-Planning at Danieli Far East Ltd. Giacomo Mareschi Danieli's promotion to CEO and the impact of his leadership on the sector In 2009 Giacomo Mareschi Danieli joined the Danieli Group Board of Directors, leading the Plant Engineering division and consolidating multi-line projects. He managed key product lines, including Danieli Centro Cranes, Hydraulics, Environment System and Centro Metallics. His strategic focus on innovation, technology and sustainability drove strong company growth. In 2017 he became CEO and Executive Board Member, guiding investments in research and development and promoting environmentally friendly solutions.
