LIC 2025: Gstaad Summit Accelerates the Future of Longevity Investment

GSTAAD, Switzerland - Sept. 29, 2025 - PRLog -- The Longevity Investors Conference (LIC 2025) welcomed leading investors, scientists, and entrepreneurs for four days of strategic dialogue, scientific insight, and private dealmaking in the Swiss Alps.

Now in its sixth year, the invite-only summit at Le Grand Bellevue is widely recognized as the world's premier longevity investment forum. With no parallel tracks and one speaker for every four participants, LIC delivers high-value exchange in a trusted setting.

AI, Automation & Human Enhancement

Artificial intelligence took center stage, with Alex Aliper (Insilico Medicine) demonstrating how AI-driven pipelines are transforming drug discovery. Amol Sarva (LifeX Ventures) spoke on the rise of AI-native startups, and Sheila Lirio Marcelo (Ohai.ai) explained how personal caregiving challenges led her to develop proactive AI health tools. Ali Ghanem (Blueprint Healthspan) challenged attendees to engage with the ethics of human enhancement.

Women's Health & Translational Science

Longevity for women was highlighted as a major market opportunity. Maddy Dychtwald (Age Wave) emphasized the economic and demographic urgency, while Jamie Justice (XPRIZE Healthspan) led packed sessions on research gaps and gender equity in science.

Speakers also called for clarity on what's clinically ready. Brad Stanfield presented evidence-based healthspan interventions. Matt Kaeberlein urged realism in communicating emerging science. João Pedro de Magalhães (University of Birmingham) highlighted translational molecular aging research.

Smarter Capital, Stronger Startups

Investor strategy is maturing. Sergey Young (BOLD Longevity Growth Fund) emphasized the need for capital that scales both innovation and access. Tobias Reichmuth (Longevity Investors) encouraged family offices to get closer to the science. Garri Zmudze (LongeVC) shared insights from biotech investing across Europe, and Joe Betts-LaCroix (Retro Biosciences) addressed building science-led longevity startups.

Moonshots & Multidisciplinary Innovation

Emil Kendziorra
(Tomorrow Biostasis) made the case for cryopreservation as a credible long-term strategy. David Gobel (Methuselah Foundation) reflected on two decades of bold, philanthropic investment. Startup showcases featured advances in blood purification, systems biology, and AI-enabled diagnostics.

Roundtable sessions remained a highlight, with open discussions on AI (Sarva), women's health (Justice), moonshots (Justice), investing models (Reichmuth), and clinical practice (Stanfield).

Partners & Momentum

LIC 2025 was supported by Tomorrow Biostasis, AIage Life, Maerki Baumann, Avea, Maximon, BioReset, and others — highlighting the ecosystem's rapid growth across biotech, AI, and finance.
