PRLog -- City and county officials, state agencies, industry partners and other key stakeholders will gather in Warner Robins on Tuesday, Sept. 30 for the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA)'s Sixth Annual Georgia Broadband Summit, themed
"Cities Cultivating Connectivity."Currently, Georgia has received over $22 million in funding to implement its Digital Connectivity Plan, and $1.3 billion in federal funding is available through the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program. This fall, the Georgia Technology Authority is administering a grant program to distribute these funds to underserved areas.
The Broadband Summit is held annually by GMA to provide local leaders with updates, strategies, and solutions related to broadband expansion across Georgia. Attendees will engage in discussions on state and federal programs, best practices in deployment and implementation, and opportunities to create digital equity and public safety enhancements for Georgia's communities.
Highlights of the summit include:

Local officials will also share practical insights on broadband implementation, including funding sources, partnerships, and lessons learned.
