Planned Parenthood Southeast Names Tangela Parker Senior Vice President

ATLANTA - Sept. 25, 2025 - PRLog -- Planned Parenthood Southeast (PPSE) has named Tangela Parker as Senior Vice President of External Affairs. In this role, Parker will oversee marketing, development, advocacy, communications, and community engagement across Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. She will guide PPSE's external strategy, strengthen its brand presence, mobilize communities, and expand access to reproductive healthcare and health equity resources throughout the region. Parker will also serve as the organization's official spokesperson, representing PPSE in media, public forums, and community initiatives.

In her role as a strategic executive leader, she is dedicated to advancing the mission of women's healthcare and reproductive rights in the Southeast. She brings 20+ years of experience across healthcare and public affairs. She has held executive roles at CVS Health, Centene, UnitedHealthcare, and Humana, where she built high-performing teams, launched award-winning campaigns, and advanced initiatives that connect healthcare organizations with the communities they serve.

Parker is a graduate of Alcorn State University and completed the Executive Leadership Program at Harvard University. She is a member of the Forbes Communications Council and has been recognized nationally, including receiving the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024.
