Plett Arts Association Brings "Brush Strokes and Beyond" to the Plett Arts FestivalBy: The Lime Envelope Running from Friday, 3 October to Thursday, 9 October, the exhibition brings together a vibrant mix of local artists - from established professionals to passionate amateurs - celebrating the joy of creativity in many forms. Visitors will discover an inspiring collection of paintings, drawings, and mixed media works, with 10% of all art sales donated to Hospice Plett (PlettAid Foundation). Workshops and demonstrations offer a chance to get involved: ● Children's Art Workshops – fun, hands-on sessions for young artists. ● Wet Felting Workshop – a tactile craft turning wool into fabric. ● Clay Workshop – practical exploration of shape and texture. ● Charcoal Drawing Demo with Gary Davis – Gary will re-imagine his charcoal drawing of a lion's side profile, originally created at night and now part of a private collection in Germany. The original took two to three months to complete; for this festival demonstration, he will recreate half of the work with fresh energy in the days leading up to the exhibition. At the official opening, visitors will be invited to sign their names on the artwork, which Gary will complete during his demonstration — creating a truly collaborative and memorable piece A raffle in support of Hospice Plett will also run throughout the exhibition, with prizes donated by local businesses and creatives.
