PRLog -- Bulinski Effect Pedals has added a new product to their popular collection of analog spring reverb effects, the FSD-1 FET Spring Driver Reverb Unit. The FSD-1 is designed to be just like a vintage outboard reverb unit, but without a spring tank. Instead, you connect your own spring tank to the RCA jacks on the pedal and the FSD-1 drives the springs.
"Our previously released Analog Spring Driver pedal series has been a great success for us, but there has always been a number of guitarists who are looking for a reverb with a classic, bright sound that works for surf music" says company owner Steven Bulinski. The FSD-1 has THAT sound. And yes, it drips.
Unlike Bulinski's other reverb offerings, the FSD-1 is not a pedal that can be bypassed. Instead, it has a design that is similar to a 6G15 unit. The jacks and controls are even setup just like a 6G15. It makes sense that there is no bypass for the FSD-1 because guitarists looking for this type of sound will usually play through the effect all the time.
Adding the FSD-1 spring reverb to a rig can be done in a few ways. Since it is an "always on" effect, some guitarists will want to attach the unit to their amp and tuck the spring tank inside their cabinet. Others may want to attach it to their pedalboard and strap the spring tank to the underside of the pedalboard. However you decide to use it, the FSD-1 is sure to give you amazing, vintage-sounding surfy tone.
