![]() Pareidolia & Anthropomorphism - a solo exhibit featuring UK artist LittleSwimminMachineConjuring up stirrings of unease by mixing pareidolia with anthropomorphism
By: imperfecta gallery This artshow was originally inspired by the artist's fascination with the concept of Pareidolia: the human tendency to perceive faces in nature's random patterns (even when none actually exist). Such a fascination led her to an exploration of the anthropomorphic - the attribution of human form and character to non-human entities - with the ultimate goal of blurring the boundary between reality and imagination. Loi has once again chosen to work with multiple materials, blending diverse textures, styles, and human features as a means of merging the "typical" with the strange. In doing this, she hopes to have conjured up stirrings of unease. The show debuts at the Imperfecta Gallery on November 8 with an opening reception between 5 and 7pm and runs through November 29. About the artist Francesca Loi (LittleSwimminMachine) Imperfecta is at 117 6th street, Oregon City OR. Gallery hours are: Wed-Sat 11am-5pm. For more details: https://www.imperfecta.xyz End
