"America's Home Stretch" — Jack "JAXWALK" Huffman Announcement

CENTERLINE, Mich. - Sept. 5, 2025 - PRLog -- On March 13th, 2026, Jack Huffman—known as Jax- from Center Line, MI. will embark on another extraordinary journey across America. Starting from Dana Strands, California, Jack will trek over 3,000 miles on foot to Washington, D.C., once again hauling 150 pounds of gear, as he attempts to break a world record and raise money for the veterans.

This year's walk is titled "America's Home Stretch"—a tribute to the long road behind him and the finish line ahead.

Jack will cross 13 states, enduring everything from the Rockies to the Appalachians, deserts, plains, and bustling highways. Braving extreme weather, wildlife, and the unknown, Jack walks eastward each morning, chasing the sunrise—alone, but never unsupported.

Army veteran JAX journey honors a tremendous causes close to his heart:

• The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund, supporting injured veterans and families of the fallen with living expenses.

A Legacy of Impact

Jack's mission began in 2019 with a 2,841-mile walk from Newport Beach, CA to Tybee Island, GA for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

He continued his mission with:

• 2020: 262 miles from South Haven to Port Huron, MI (6 days for St. Jude)
• 2022: 362 miles from Belle Isle to Mackinac Island, MI (10 days for the DMAN Foundation)
• 2023: 1,800 miles from Sarasota, FL to Rochester Hills, MI (62 days with a dove named "Nikki," for Salute Our Warriors)
• 2024: 3,000 miles from Dana Pointe, CA to Washington, D.C. (76 days, raising $265,000), plus a bonus 270-mile "Michigan's High Five" walk (5 days, raising another $39,000)—totaling $304,000 raised for The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund.
• 2025; 3,000 miles from Dana Pointe, CA to Washington, D.C. where Jack carried the nations flag once flown at the nations capital and retunred the flag upon his completion.  While raising money for the Rainbow connection and the fallen and wounded soldiers.
• To date jack has raised close to $500,000 for the vets.

Americas Home Stretch:
This 2026 journey is especially meaningful: Jack will revisit the same route he walked in 2024 and 2025—a path that tested every limit as he faced blizzards, tornadoes, bears, and famine. But what stood out most were the people—the beautiful people of America—who opened their homes, hearts, and kitchens to support a stranger walking for a cause.
