In its first year, the project will deliver 200,000–250,000 tons of product. Hashemi also revealed a strategic shift from coking to propylene production. With an investment of €100–200 million, this national project will produce 400,000 tons of propylene, raising the refinery's complexity index above 12% and transforming Bandar Abbas into one of the country's most advanced petro-refineries. Another milestone is the refinery's connection to the Goreh–Jask pipeline, cutting transportation costs by 50% and boosting daily crude intake to 340,000 barrels. Financially, the refinery reported an operating profit of 170 trillion rials in Q1 2025, marking 80% growth compared to last year. In social responsibility, Bandar Abbas Refinery has allocated over 45 trillion rials in 2025 to sports, education, and healthcare, including launching a futsal league and establishing a local educational institute. Hashemi emphasized the refinery's path toward profitability and sustainable growth, with projects such as a sulfur park creating new jobs and boosting production. He credited these achievements to the dedication of refinery staff and comprehensive support, underscoring continued commitment to modern, domestic-driven strategies.
