By: SAM PACK'S FIVE STAR FORD CARROLLTON Ford Motor Company is expanding its Ford Building Together initiative, strengthening its commitment to communities around the world. The program unites Ford's corporate resources, employees, and dealership network to address key challenges like food security, education, disaster relief, and community development. For over 100 years, Ford has championed social responsibility, donating $2.4 billion and contributing more than 1.8 million volunteer hours. This expanded initiative builds on that legacy with a modern, collaborative approach that focuses on both global impact and local action. Tackling Hunger with Local Drives To kick off the next phase, Ford dealerships globally will host food drives from September 15–25, collecting non-perishable food and essential items to fight hunger. This effort combines grassroots support with Ford's global scale to help families in need. One example is Sam Pack's Five Star Ford Carrollton in Texas. General Manager Trey Russell emphasized their local mission: "Our role extends beyond selling vehicles. Having grown up here, I know the good we do today will ripple through our community—helping neighbors, friends, and countless others" Uniting Communities Through Action Hunger remains a critical issue—44 million Americans, including 13 million children, face food insecurity annually, according to Feeding America. Ford aims to mobilize employees, customers, and community members to raise awareness and take action. "Whether it's a single can or a full bag, every donation counts," said a Ford spokesperson. Partnerships That Multiply Impact Ford Building Together partners with respected nonprofits like:
These alliances ensure Ford's contributions reach the communities that need them most. A Sustainable Model for Giving Back More than just writing checks, Ford is embedding service into its operations. Employees receive support for volunteerism, while dealerships are equipped to lead local events and service initiatives. Looking ahead, Ford plans to grow the program to meet evolving community needs—proving that when businesses and communities unite, real change is possible. Ford invites everyone to join the effort—donate, volunteer, or spread the word. For more information: End
