British Veteran Heads to Ukraine for 14th Frontline Aid Mission

DUFFTOWN, Scotland - Aug. 31, 2025 - PRLog -- United Kingdom –  As public attention shifts away from the war in Ukraine, one British ex-military volunteer is keeping the humanitarian effort alive with a 14th self-funded aid mission – travelling solo and unarmed to the Ukrainian front lines.

Departing on 3rd November, he will drive from the UK to Kherson and Sumy, delivering aid directly to civilians, including the elderly and families in cut-off communities.

Over the past two years, he and a fellow ex-soldier have braved some of the most dangerous parts of the conflict. From surviving Iskander missile strikes in Pokrovsk, mortar fire in Kherson, to a KH101 missile barrage in Kyiv, their missions have taken them deep into the war's most volatile regions.

"I do this off my own back – no NGOs, no bureaucracy," he explains. "Just a packed vehicle and a will to get aid where it's needed most."

In a unique twist, this November's trip includes the delivery of a new football kit to a children's team in Kherson, where school closures mean football is one of the few chances for social interaction.

With social media algorithms limiting his fundraising reach, he's now calling on national media to help shed light on the ongoing humanitarian need, and the dangerous, unfiltered reality faced by those still living in warzones.

"I have hundreds of photos, firsthand stories, and contacts in Ukraine willing to speak," he says. "The war hasn't ended. People are still suffering."
