Behavioral Health Platform Recover Now Expands into Eating Disorder Treatment

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Aug. 25, 2025 - PRLog -- Recover Now, a Birmingham-based behavioral health platform building specialty care programs across the Southeast, has expanded into eating disorder treatment with the launch of Eating Disorder Treatment Centers of Louisiana (EDTC). Located near New Orleans, EDTC is the state's first residential facility exclusively focused on eating disorder treatment.

EDTC offers residential care for adult women with complex eating disorders of all types. Until EDTC, Louisiana had no in-state residential option dedicated solely to eating disorders.

Building a Specialty Eating Disorder Program

EDTC's model centers on four pillars:

• Evidence-based therapy, including DBT, RO-DBT, and trauma care
• Nutrition and wellness, featuring yoga, breathwork, and dietitian-led meals
• Family support with weekly sessions and workshops

The team includes licensed therapists, medical providers, full-time registered dietitians, and Certified Eating Disorder Specialists (CEDS). EDTC works closely with referring providers to ensure smooth care transitions.
