![]() High-Value Steel Sheets: Cutting Pollution and Energy Use in the Steel IndustryUniversity of Tehran expert proposes advanced coated steel sheets to boost durability, reduce environmental impact, and enhance global competitiveness for Iran's steel sector.
By: Titrsanat News Agency A strategic proposal by Mohammad Amirifard, an industrial expert at the University of Tehran, highlights the production of high-value steel sheets with advanced coatings as a transformative solution. Products such as hot-dip galvanized sheets, advanced fluidized bed-coated color sheets, and special-function coatings (anti-static, self-cleaning, and highly reflective) offer extended durability, reduced maintenance needs, and improved energy efficiency. The fluidized bed technology enables precision coating thickness and superior quality, while anti-static coatings prevent dust accumulation in appliances, self-cleaning coatings reduce facade maintenance costs, and reflective coatings optimize energy use. By adopting these technologies, Iranian steel companies can align with environmental goals, increase competitiveness in domestic and international markets, and deliver products with higher value and longer life cycles. This approach reduces steel consumption, lowers repair costs, and helps cut greenhouse gas emissions. Market forecasts predict significant growth in the global coated steel sheet market by 2028, driven by demand in the home appliance, automotive, and construction sectors. For Iran's steel industry, embracing such innovative strategies is essential for sustainable growth and profitability. Source: Read Full Article in Persian (https://titrsanat.ir/? End
