Danieli Group, world leader in industrial machinery for the metalworking sector, is strengthening its presence in China with a series of new projects that underline the strength and reliability of Italian engineering in one of the world's most competitive markets. The latest milestone is the successful commissioning of a new six-high cold-finishing mill at Shanxi Northern Copper, in the province of Shanxi. The newly installed plant is designed for the production of high-quality copper alloys and features some of the most advanced technologies available. These include integrated geometric optimization, automatic thickness control, and a long-stroke shifting system, enabling flexibility across a broad spectrum of high-performance products. This investment is in line with Shanxi Northern Copper's strategic orientation towards high-tech applications, particularly in the fast-growing sectors of 5G communications, electric vehicles and aerospace. This recent achievement follows another important agreement between the Danieli Group and the Chinese steelmaker Shougang, involving the supply of an electric furnace to the Qian'an Steel plant in Hebei province. The plant is intended for the production of green steel specifically for the automotive industry. In 2024, the Chinese market contributed almost a third of Danieli Group's global sales, supported by a dominant market share of over 70% in the electric oven segment. Southeast Asia has also become increasingly important, with half-year revenues for the region reaching 702 billion euros last December, doubling the previous year's figures. With an ongoing commitment to innovation, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability, the company's latest success in China consolidates its leadership in the global transition toward cleaner and more efficient metal processing technologies.
