Multiples of America Members Gather in Tucson to Plan New Initiatives, Elect New Officers

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Aug. 6, 2025 - PRLog -- Members of Multiples of America spent the last weekend of July "Two Steppin' 2 Tucson" for their 64^th  annual convention. Held in Tucson, the convention was a chance for members to network, discuss local leadership challenges, learn about current twin research studies, and begin plans for new organizational initiatives.

Health Coach and podcaster Natassia Williamson, the keynote speaker, shared reflections on the parenting journey "from sleepless nights to self-rediscovery." A networking meetup with the organization president, a session on communication challenges between multiples, and a mental health panel offered strategies for individual and chapter growth. One special workshop presented by the Arizona Twin Project detailed how multiples are a crucial part of their research on risk and resilience. And a special "Timeless Treasures Gallery" silent auction offered members a chance to share special talents while financially supporting the organization.

Business sessions at the convention brought the opportunity to review the work of the organization over the last year, and elect a new board of directors. Mary Prigel Adcock, from Hutchinson, KS, was elected President. Other officers for the upcoming term include:

In her election speech, President Prigel Adcock compared membership in Multiples of America to the song "For Good" from the musical Wicked.

"Isn't that the story of Multiples of America," she asked, "repeated again and again over the decades from state to state, club to club, member to member, friend to friend? We are led to our local clubs and the national organization for a reason. Our mission says it's support, education, and research. Yes, there is all that, and we do grow as parents and as people. But there's more than just that, there's the connections."

Prigel Adcock noted that it's those connections that come through membership that stay with parents "like a handprint" on their hearts and change their lives "for good."

We offer so much more than…a Zoom meeting," she said. We provide so much more than just a Facebook page or an ezine publication…We go beyond the story to connect and touch hearts. To paraphrase the song, 'Because I joined Multiples of America, I have been changed for good.'"
