| ![]() Swim Up Hill and Classroom Champions Launch Partnership to Elevate Student Impact in SouthernNine-month tech-powered initiative blends athlete mentorship, edtech, and swim education ahead of LA28
By: Swim Up Hill Foundation At the core of this collaboration is a shared belief: every child deserves a champion, and every student should feel they belong in the classroom and the pool. Classroom Champions, whose technology was originally funded by the World Health Organization and UNESCO, will integrate its athlete-led digital mentorship and character-building curriculum into Swim Up Hill's programming. From storytelling modules to in-person activations, the partnership expands student engagement and strengthens Swim Up Hill's educational pipeline. "This partnership brings the best of two worlds together, technology and trust," said Jamal Hill, Founder of Swim Up Hill. "Classroom Champions gives us the tools to mentor at scale, and we bring the water. Together, we're building students who believe they belong, both in school and in the pool." Throughout the 2025 to 2026 school year, participating schools will experience a blend of athlete mentorship, digital curriculum, and Swim Up Hill's signature initiatives like Swim Mobile and the SoCal Swim Project. Programming includes goal-setting workshops, SEL-based lessons, and water safety training, rooted in equity, empowerment, and Olympic legacy. "We believe every student deserves a champion, and now they'll get one in the water too," said a representative from Classroom Champions. "Jamal Hill and Swim Up Hill share our mission, and we're excited to scale this impact together." The partnership supports Swim Up Hill's All Roads Lead to LA28 campaign, serving as a high-impact community project and scalable Olympic legacy model. It is also expected to unlock joint funding, grow school partnerships, and launch a student-led storytelling campaign. Key Milestones: The partnership launches July 2025, with school activations from Fall 2025 through Spring 2026. Curriculum will integrate with Swim Mobile and the SoCal Swim Project, while a co-branded campaign will highlight student voices and shared impact. The initiative supports LA28 legacy goals and lays a scalable foundation for youth engagement. How to Support: Sponsors, school districts, and civic leaders are invited to join. Opportunities include funding school visits, upgrading tech, or featuring the collaboration in Olympic, municipal, or district-wide initiatives.
