Nonprofits Unite to Amplify Community Impact at Recent Charity Coalition Luncheon

CLEARWATER, Fla. - July 23, 2025 - PRLog -- On Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, nonprofit leaders and volunteers representing more than 20 diverse causes joined together at the historic Fort Harrison for the Summer Charity Coalition Luncheon, hosted by the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization. The event featured networking, a buffet lunch and an educational segment on social media marketing. Devin Pappas, the founder and president of Raising Relief Foundation also gave an insightful presentation about how they give back to the community.

"Pinellas County is home to more than 1,300 nonprofit organizations tackling a wide range of community challenges—from youth mentorship and environmental conservation to food security and low-income housing," said Lisa Mansell, Community Affairs Director for the Church of Scientology. "Despite their varied missions, collaboration is essential. A recent national study from Forvis Mazars LLP (U.S. public accounting firm) showed that nearly half of nonprofits face a shortage of resources, leading to hindered program delivery."

Among the attendees was Ken Branch, former Service Officer for American Legion Post 7. Branch praised the event's role in fostering collaboration, "The Charity Coalition helps us build relationships that are crucial to expanding our impact in the community. Sharing ideas and resources with fellow nonprofits enables us to get more done, together."
