After a trial period you doctor may increase the dose up to 200 mg. Tramadol may be taken every 4 or 6 hours depending on pain you have. Symptoms of overdose may include bluish skin, cold clammy skin, difficult or slow breathing, drowsiness leading to unresponsiveness or coma, excessive sweating, seizures, slow or irregular heartbeat, very fast heart rate. If you suspect an overdose, contact your emergency room immediately. Tramadol should be stored at room temperature in a container it comes in. Protect from heat, sun light and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep away from pets and children. Any of the medicine can cause side effects. Anyway, such common side effects may bother you: anxiety, bloating, gas, constipation, convulsive movements, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, feeling of elation, hallucinations, headache, indigestion, itching, nausea, nervousness, sweating, tremor, vomiting, weakness, agitation, trouble sleeping. Seek medical attention for any of these side effects: chest pain, allergic reactions, difficulty swallowing or breathing, fainting, irregular or slow heartbeat, shortness of breath or stomach pain.
