Vertex Launches Hybrid-Drive Mobile Crusher: Lower Emissions, Higher Efficiency Shenyang

HOUSTON - July 8, 2025 - PRLog -- Vertex Bergbaumaschinen has introduced a new hybrid-drive mobile crusher, designed to meet the growing demand for lower-emission, energy-efficient crushing equipment across mining, construction, and recycling sectors.

The newly launched model combines a conventional diesel engine with an electric motor system, allowing the machine to operate in dual modes depending on site conditions and energy availability. This hybrid approach aims to reduce fuel consumption, limit carbon emissions, and improve operational flexibility in environments with strict environmental compliance requirements.

According to the engineering team at Vertex, the hybrid system is capable of delivering consistent power output while offering reduced idle times and smoother transition between drive modes. The machine also supports plug-in capability, allowing it to draw power from grid or site-based electric sources when available.

The unit features a mobile chassis fitted with a crawler system for on-site mobility, along with modular components designed for quick setup and transport. Other highlights include a high-efficiency crushing chamber, an electronically controlled hydraulic system, and remote monitoring compatibility, enabling real-time performance diagnostics.

While traditional diesel-powered crushers remain widespread, the introduction of hybrid-drive models signals a gradual transition toward alternative energy integration in heavy equipment design. The move also aligns with recent policy trends in regions that have adopted carbon-reduction mandates or green infrastructure goals.

Vertex noted that the hybrid-drive crusher will initially be made available to selected distributors and project partners for early field evaluation. Full commercial availability is expected to follow, pending regulatory reviews and site-level performance validation.

This product release follows a series of sustainability-focused developments from the company, including dust control enhancements and reduced-noise screening systems. Vertex has stated its intent to continue investing in low-emission technologies across its mobile equipment portfolio.
