This Woman Knows Media announces June 2025 microgrant recipients, opens July roundBy: PrettyWork Creative LLC The $500 grant award goes to Anniesha McDonald, founder of Pompano Beauty Academy, a Florida-based hybrid beauty school designed to equip aspiring professionals, especially young women who have aged out of the foster care system, with flexible, accessible training and entrepreneurship tools. Her model is a bold response to generational poverty, offering skills and confidence that lead to self-sufficiency and purpose. "Receiving this grant means so much more than financial assistance," Two $100 seed grants were also awarded:
