Artist and Advocate Launches Fundraiser to Preserve Creative Legacy Amid Health Battle

JASPER, Texas - July 14, 2025 - PRLog -- Renfro, 54, has spent decades in the creative and nonprofit communities, contributing as a storyteller, musician, and event organizer. Recently diagnosed with several progressive neurological conditions—including Small Cell Disease, spinal tumors, and severe brain atrophy—Renfro is seeking to raise $50,000 to help complete long-standing artistic projects, manage critical health needs, and share his life's lessons with others.

"I've always believed in creating for a purpose—whether through music, writing, or simply connecting with someone in need," said Renfro. "Now, I want to finish the work I've started and leave behind something that others can learn from."

Funds raised will support:

• Completion of a graphic novel and an anthology reflecting on 30 years in music
• Final edits on a book honoring his mother's cancer journey
• Medical treatment and access to essential therapies
• Dental surgery for health and quality of life
• Continued development of music, scripts, and free public resources

Despite facing considerable health challenges, Renfro remains focused on using his experience to help others. He has previously co-written an anti–date rape song shared with college radio stations to raise awareness and has provided emotional support to individuals in crisis.
