Bennett Awards Crafts Distinctive Custom Awards for Inaugural World Sevens Football Tournament

CASCAIS, Portugal - June 23, 2025 - PRLog -- Bennett Awards is proud to announce its partnership with World Sevens Football (W7F), delivering a full suite of custom awards for the organization's groundbreaking inaugural tournament held May 21–23, 2025, in Estoril, Portugal.

W7F, an elite new 7v7 global tournament series, brought together eight of Europe's top women's clubs in a high-octane, festival-style event that captivated fans and media alike. Bennett Awards was tapped earlier this year to create a cohesive and memorable series of awards—despite a tight turnaround.

The centerpiece of the awards collection was the World Sevens Champions Shield, a striking 15-inch circular plaque crafted from maple. Engraved with the tournament name around the edge and stained darker to emphasize the lettering, the plaque also features an inlaid silver aluminum plate with a raised cutout of the World Sevens logo—balancing prestige with modernity in a base-free design.

Bennett also created 8-inch shield-style awards for individual athlete honors including Golden Boot, Golden Ball, Golden Glove, Breakout Player, and the three Community Champions being honored as part of W7F's philanthropic initiative. A traditional rectangular maple plaque with an embossed silver plate was presented to the Rising Sevens Champion, a youth standout in W7F's mentorship camps.

For all players from top-performing teams, custom four-inch medallions were produced in three distinct colors, adding a unifying yet personalized touch. And when W7F made a last-minute request for additional "Minted Player of the Match" awards, Bennett's Bennett Now line met the moment. The selected Now Cube awards, featuring silver aluminum plates displaying the World Seven's branding, were designed, approved, and shipped within five business days.

The awards not only enhanced the visual prestige of the event, but also played a key role in promoting W7F's brand in global media and social coverage. The combination of eye-catching design and elegant craftsmanship helped underscore the event's professionalism, making each accolade as memorable as the plays on the field.

Bayern Munich took home the top prize of $2.5 million after defeating Manchester United in the final—more than any winner in Europe's top women's leagues last season.
