Lethe designs, manufactures, installs, and adjusts custom doors and hatches for luxury yachts, including heavy, electrically operated sliding doors and wind breakers. To meet high standards, Lethe developed its own hinge system with three-way adjustable, seawater-resistant hinges made of polished stainless steel. These use iglidur G polymer plain bearings, which are corrosion-free, durable, lubrication-free, and blend aesthetically with the design. Their use ensures smooth operation under high loads and offers cost and delivery advantages due to their availability in the igus standard range.

Lethe also uses lubricant-free igus bearings beyond hinges—for both rotary and linear motion. In electrically operated sliding doors and wind breakers, igus lead screw nuts and iglidur G bushings ensure smooth, long-term movement.
