PRLog -- Members of Multiples of America planted a foothold in the future in 2007. They voted to begin an endowment fund. At that time, Multiples of America had already provided support for families of multiples over several decades. Starting an endowment was a signal the organization intended to continue to sustain and strengthen its services and support for decades into the future.
Members, clubs, state organizations, and businesses have donated to the endowment fund, now called the EDGE, since its inception. Now 18 years later, the fund has grown sufficiently that the interest earned on the savings can be used to help local chapters in growing their mission. A grant competition was launched earlier this Spring with that intent. Chapters are completing applications for projects focused on creating marketing materials, building resources for moms on bedrest, completing website updates, and more. One application will be selected for funding from among those dreams.
That winner will be announced at Multiples of America's annual convention July 24-26 in Tucson, AZ, and earn the distinction of being the recipient of the organization's first EDGE grant. That will be a memorable moment for the entire organization, according to Stephany Ireland, EDGE Chair.
"The launch of the EDGE Endowment Grant represents a meaningful milestone in our organization's history," Ireland noted. "It reflects a long-term commitment to sustainability and growth, while also enabling us to support the vital, day-to-day work of our clubs. It is especially gratifying to know that this fund will help bring to life the aspirations of those serving families of multiples across the country."
