LifeLines Project Launches to Support Young People with Diabetes Across Europe

May 27, 2025 - PRLog -- LifeLines, a collaborative Erasmus+ project, has officially launched to empower young people with diabetes, addressing critical issues such as social exclusion, awareness gaps, and limited resources. By equipping youth workers and community stakeholders with innovative tools and practical strategies, LifeLines aims to foster a more inclusive society, ensuring youth with diabetes can actively participate in all areas of life.

Diabetes is a rapidly growing epidemic, affecting millions globally. LifeLines seeks to bridge existing gaps in education, resources, and community support systems. Through comprehensive educational resources, targeted awareness campaigns, and inclusive community engagement activities, the project aims to significantly enhance the quality of life and social inclusion of diabetic youth.

Key activities include conducting needs assessments, providing practical first-aid guidelines, creating accessible podcasts featuring diabetes experts and youth experiences, and sharing inspirational stories to motivate young individuals. LifeLines emphasizes early intervention, awareness raising, and promoting inclusive policies that ensure every young person with diabetes has equitable opportunities for education, employment, and social engagement.
