Phoenix Health Hub Rolleston Officially Opens

ROLLESTON, New Zealand - May 20, 2025 - PRLog -- A new chapter in healthcare has begun in Rolleston with the opening of Phoenix Health Hub Rolleston, a modern medical centre built to meet the growing needs of the Selwyn community.

Located at 3 Norman Kirk Drive, the purpose-built facility is part of the Selwyn Health Hub, an integrated centre for health and social services directly opposite the Selwyn District Council offices.

The official opening on 19 May was attended by local leaders, healthcare professionals, and community members. Selwyn District Mayor Sam Broughton addressed the crowd, acknowledging the pressing need for expanded local healthcare services.

"Selwyn currently doesn't have the health services it needs to keep our people safe and healthy," he said. "Thirty-two percent of our population travels outside the district just to see a GP. We lack blood services and have fewer dental clinics and pharmacies per capita than our neighbours."

He thanked Phoenix Healthcare for investing in the region and helping bring this vital service to life.

"Knowing it's not just roads, homes, and schools—but also health services—means our people are well cared for at every stage of life."
