The Vomela Companies Earns SGP Re-Certification

ST. PAUL, Minn. - May 20, 2025 - PRLog -- The Vomela Companies, a leading provider of visual communications and specialty graphics, has successfully renewed its certification with the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP). This re-certification underscores Vomela's ongoing dedication to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices.​

"Our focus on ESG, includes ISO certification, alignment with UN's Sustainable Development Goals, and St. Paul's largest solar array on the roof of our headquarters."

Vomela's sustainability initiatives are comprehensive, focusing on reducing environmental impact through strategic programs:​

• Renewable Energy: Installation of a 1.4-megawatt solar array at the St. Paul headquarters, the largest rooftop solar installation in the city, providing approximately one-third of the facility's energy needs. ​
• Waste Management: Implementation of integrated waste management systems, including recycling of corrugate, reuse of plastic end caps in partnership with 3M, and replacement of bubble wrap with Ranpak packaging materials. ​
• Sustainable Materials: Use of UV and latex inks to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and sourcing materials certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI).
• LEED-Compliant Facilities: Design and operation of facilities that meet LEED standards, emphasizing energy savings, water efficiency, and reduced CO2 emissions.

In addition to SGP certification, Vomela is an active member of the Sustainable Brands network and serves as the Founding Visual Communications Partner of the Green Sports Alliance's Play to Zero initiative, further demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and community engagement. ​
