Young OC actress's second movie of 2025 now streaming on Apple TV

"Apocalypse Love Story" is Kayden Tokarski's second movie of the year to premiere following the Anthony Michael Hall led sci-fi movie "Roswell Delirium"

LOS ANGELES - May 19, 2025 - PRLog -- A south Orange County actress is making a name for herself on the silver screen, after 15-year-old actress Kayden Tokarski announced the debut of "Apocalypse Love Story," a movie shot in 2020 that is now streaming on Apple TV, Prime Video and Fandango at Home.

Shot during the height of the pandemic when Tokarski was 11, the film centers around an 8-year-old girl named Sam, played by Tokarski, and an 8-year-old boy named James, played by Byron McCray. Sam and James are the sole survivors of an ecological worldwide apocalypse.

Director-producer Justin Neese describes the film as a tale of survival, self-discovery, friendship and even love – at least as much as can exist between a pair of 8-year-olds.

"I remember when I was in kindergarten and I would hold hands with girls," Neese said. "Even at such a young age, you still kind of have the capacity to have romance, but on a more innocent level."

The independent film also features Jena Sims Koepka, Sage Kirkpatrick and Corey Calliet and Scout Lord.

"Apocalypse Love Story" is Tokarski's second movie to premiere this year and fourth since October of 2024.

In January, the sci-fi movie "Roswell Delirium" premiered on Apple TV. The movie, directed by Richard Bakewell, features notable actors such as Anthony Michael Hall, Sam Jones and Reginald VelJohnson.

In 2024, "My Professor's Deadly Secret" directed by Ryan J Francis premiered on the Lifetime Movie Network on Oct. 17 — while "Killer in the Woods" premiered via Lifetime Movies on Dec. 6.

In February, Tokarski wrapped the upcoming Vincent Grashaw-directed feature "Bruton" where she plays the daughter of Theo Rossi.

In addition to these films, Tokarski is known for playing a young Julia Roberts on the TV series "Gaslit" and her filmography includes "Love's Fast Lane" on Peacock; "My Melancholy Baby" on Prime; and the upcoming movies "Curse of Vandor" and its sequel with Dee Wallace.
