MDF Nation Foundation Announces Scholarship Gala to Celebrate Athletic Excellence and Legacy

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - May 18, 2025 - PRLog -- MDF Nation Foundation proudly announces its biannual Fundraising Scholarship Gala, an unforgettable celebration bringing together past, present, and future athletes, families, and supporters of ModernDay Fitness and the MDF Nation Foundation. The event will take place on Friday, May 23, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama.

This exciting weekend is designed to honor the impact and legacy of retired NFL Defensive End and UAB Alumni, Coach Otis Leverette's nationally recognized training program, which has helped shape countless athletes—many of whom have gone on to successful collegiate and professional careers, including the NFL, WNBA, and beyond. Special invited guests from MDF alumni include New York Giants QB, Jameis Winston, Carolina Panthers Cornerback, Mike Jackson, Las Vegas Raiders Running Back Ameer Abdullah and rising WNBA star Jaylyn Sherrod.

"This weekend is more than a reunion," said Coach Otis Leverette, founder of MDF Nation. "It's a celebration of legacy, unity, and our commitment to shaping the next generation of leaders through sport, service, and mentorship."

Funds raised from the event will go toward the MDF Access Program, a new income-based initiative providing low-cost training to youth in underserved communities and scholarships for high school seniors. Through this initiative, young athletes gain access to elite coaching, life skills, and community service opportunities.
