The open letter—now officially under review by the UN Special Procedures as of May 19, 2025 (Ref: b043dr3p)—formally challenges Articles 41(2) and 91(3) of Pakistan's Constitution, which explicitly restrict the offices of President and Prime Minister to Muslims:
"No one is born into this world with a religion engraved on their skin. To God, all paths are valid. Who was God before the birth of the founder of your religion?" Swami Muktananda (1908–1982) NWF emphasizes that these constitutional clauses violate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), adopted in 1948 and endorsed by Pakistan: Article 1: All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. Article 18: Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion. Article 21: Everyone has the right to take part in government and access public service equally. This call for reform gains urgency in light of the April 22, 2025, attack near Pahalgam in Indian-administered Kashmir, where militants separated civilians by religion and executed Hindu and Christian men in front of their newlywed wives. This atrocity underscores how identity-based hate can be weaponized with devastating consequences. Noble World Foundation urges the United Nations to compel Pakistan to repeal Articles 41(2) and 91(3) of its Constitution, which violate international human rights standards and entrench division at the highest levels of government. This is not merely a domestic issue for Pakistan—it is a global security threat with implications for peace, justice, and international credibility. NWF is the first to expose the constitutional root of global terrorism. Peace cannot arise from laws that divide people by religion.
