By: Danger Zone Music Group Building on the momentum of the Platinum Plan, which began in 2020 as a reparative justice strategy advocated by Ice Cube and President Donald Trump, the Platinum Jubilee expands this vision into a global cultural movement for self-emancipation. The campaign commemorates 70 years since the murder of Emmett Till and calls for transformative justice beyond symbolic reform. "The Platinum Jubilee is about accountability and healing," said Andrew Williams Jr., Executive Director of Danger Zone Music Group Charity. "Gangsta rap is not just music—it's a movement, a message for the children of the world who are still fighting to survive." Beginning on May 16, 2025, which is both Malcolm X Day and the United Nations' International Day of Living Together in Peace, the campaign entered into a "9 Nights" Funkathon with signature leadership groups focused on interfaith unity, debt relief, and digital rights for creators. 9 Nights will culminate on May 25, aligning with Africa Unity Day and the legacy of George Floyd, to honor all those who have been martyred in the pursuit of justice as part of a yearlong series of events designed to revolutionize the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement from August 28, 2025-2026.
