3 ZINNEN DOLOMITES, Italy - May 7, 2025 - PRLog -- There's no more iconic Dolomite silhouette than the castellated Tre Cime di Lavaredo, three-point crown of the 3 Zinnen Dolomites region (www.dreizinnen.com) – a region that ticks all the boxes for a year-round holiday paradise. Colourful South Tyrolean villages and changing landscapes of lakes, valleys and high Alpine meadows are a magnet for climbers, hikers, artists, cyclists and families alike.

New this summer is Rocky Spirits – a family park offering a gentle adventure trail through the rocky landscape of Croda Rossa that tells stories and legends en route.

Another summer launch is the Reinhold Messner Haus. Created within an upcycled cable car station at Mont Elmo, the new space offers a lively meeting place and will host seminars on messages dear to Messner: danger deceleration, silence, sustainability, tourism, and alpinism.

Returning for a 12^th consecutive year is the Dolomiti Gourmet Festival (3-5 October). Created by local Michelin star chef Chris Oberhammer (Tilia in Dobbiaco) and including culinary stars such as Barcelona's Paulo Casagrande (3 Michelin stars at Lasarte) it celebrates the best of South Tyrolean terroir inspired by Italian, Austrian and Alpine cuisine. Elegant South Tyrolean wines are a bonus.

A weekly itinerary suggests daily adventures (subject to availability/tariffs) including a sunrise hike and traditional rifugio breakfast, guided giro enduro bike tours, hut parties and summer tobogganing. Alternative itineraries for less clement weather are available. The region's World War 1 involvement will interest military historians; the lakes, blue-green Lago di Braies the most famous, encourage relaxation.

Throughout the summer and into autumn five cable cars provide easy access from the five charming villages – Dobbiaco, San Candido, Sesto, Villabassa, Braies - to 400km of stunning hiking trails, challenging enduro bike trails, and spectacular climbing and via ferrata routes across four magnificent mountains – Monte Elmo, Croda Rossa, Monte Baranci and Stiergarten. Local delicacies, wines and pine schnapps (Zirbila) are served in 31 mountain rifugi and village restaurants and bars. Accommodation suits all budgets: B&Bs, family-run pensions, spotless hotels and luxurious spa & wellness retreats.
