U.S. Air Force Veteran from the Sunshine State Wins the Shelby Dream Giveaway

GRAVETTE, Ark. - May 7, 2025 - PRLog -- The Shelby Dream Giveaway, which concluded on January 23, 2025, has officially crowned its winner. Congratulations to Richard Taylor of Florida, a U.S. Air Force veteran and the proud recipient of two ultra-rare performance vehicles: a Supercharged Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition Mustang and a Supercharged Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition F-150 Super Snake. As part of the grand-prize package, Mr. Taylor also received a $59,000 payout to cover the federal prize taxes.

Mr. Taylor made his winning donation on November 29, 2024.

"I really wanted to help the kids at NBCH who really need a chance," said Mr. Taylor. "I also really appreciate all the veterans charities as I and a lot of my family members are military vets."

He received the winning call on February 6, 2025.

"When I got the call, my first thought was that this was unbelievable," Mr. Taylor said. "My wife is currently deployed. While there, she put a Mustang Dark Horse on order. So I thought, 'Guess I can cancel that!' After it sunk in that I actually won, I couldn't believe I was going to own—not just one, but two vehicles that were limited to only 100 of each made! The award ceremony at the Dream Giveaway Garage was amazing. I loved looking at the cars, especially the classics!"

Mr. Taylor served over 22 years in the U.S. Air Force, working on the Avionics Backshop and Flightline teams. He now serves as a contractor for Special Ops deployable medical equipment. In his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his children—and now, enjoying his new Shelbys.
