New Lewis Hamilton Book Hits the Shelves

By: Phil Woods

DEESIDE, Wales - April 11, 2025 - PRLog -- Author Phil Woods has recently released his fourth book. The comedy author has previously published his works alongside Steve Smith, his co-author  'Beat About the Bush – The funny side of language', 'The Daily Skid' and children's book 'Grump Goes Shopping' (with amazing artwork by Gary Drew). This time Phil has drawn on his experience as the former editor of 2 motorsport magazines, Podium Magazine and Pit Lane Reporter Magazine and a regular writer and guest editor for Paddock Magazine. The Racing Biography of Lewis Hamilton is likely to be a best seller.

Phil's latest book was published in March and this time he's aiming high, looking to make this a best seller. "The subject matter of the book could be enough to sell a fair few copies" said Phil. '"The Racing Biography of Lewis Hamilton' chronicles Lewis' rise from a childhood  karting star to the greatest Formula One star in history." The book follows him right up to 2024, making it the most up to date book on the 7 time world champion.

Phil has been a fan of Lewis since he burst onto the scene as a rookie in a McLaren at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. Lewis raced to a podium finish in his McLaren taking 3rd place making him the first rookie to get a podium at their first race since 1996.

The book has been in the works for a while, with some time away from the book during Covid. Phil says "I would get my laptop out, write a bit and put it away, I did that over a number of years. It was a slow burner because of the amount of research needed to put a book like this together."

Despite having the word biography in the title, in theory it isn't a biography in the general sense of the word, it's more like a chronicle of his racing history, the good times and the bad. The publisher said, "This book captures the drama and can take you back to a moment in time, like his 1st title, all the drama of that last race in Brazil. Lewis needed to finish 5th, one place ahead of where he was on the last lap, but the weather had caught out the driver in front and Lewis on wet weather tyres made a move on the final corner of the final lap of the final race." Moments like this make up the majority of the book.

It also has a cover that Phil describes as "Hugely impressive and designed by former gold award cake artist Vicki Smith from Flint, North Wales"

The book is available from Amazon now and bookstores very soon.
