KOKA utilises igus components to enhance production efficiency at its Singapore factory

GENTING LANE, Singapore - April 10, 2025 - PRLog -- Can you briefly tell us more on your existing production facility in Singapore for KOKA ?
Established in 1986, the KOKA Noodles facility in Singapore spans 4,000 sq.m and produces up to 35 million packs monthly. Located on Quality Road, the factory plans to expand into Thailand and Vietnam to reach new markets and boost production.

Can you tell us when did your collaboration with igus, the motion plastic component supplier, start ?
KOKA began collaborating with igus in 2017 to enhance production efficiency and reliability. igus supplies high-quality components that have improved KOKA's performance and productivity. Currently, igus products are used in the packaging and processing equipment, including custom-sized flange bushings for the conveyor shaft in the steamer, which handle demanding conditions and ensure smooth operation.

Are there plans to expand on the existing partnership with igus ?
KOKA plans to expand its partnership with igus by exploring igus coating solutions, integrating special size bearings, and testing linear rail & carriage in the processing line. These initiatives aim to improve efficiency and reduce maintenance needs. KOKA is committed to continuing and expanding this cooperation to enhance production capabilities.

In your opinion, has the application of igus products helped to improve Koka's production directly or indirectly ?
igus products have improved KOKA's production by enhancing safety and hygiene with lubrication-free components, reducing maintenance needs and downtime, and ensuring smoother operations.
