Mounts Botanical Garden Adds Artist Frank Hyder to Spring Plant Sale & Family Fun Weekend

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - April 10, 2025 - PRLog -- (West Palm Beach, FL – April 10, 2025) Mounts Botanical Garden is thrilled to announce that world-renowned artist Frank Hyder will be participating in its largest Plant Sale and Family Fun Weekend of the year on April 26 and 27, 2025.

Frank Hyder's 'The Janis Project' has traveled the world. And now, a piece is coming to Mounts Botanical Garden and will be on display throughout the weekend. Conceived on Easter Island, the air-filled, huge inflatable heads reference the Moai and Olmec heads and the ancient Roman god of new endeavors, Janus. The Janis sculptures also have their roots in street art and inflatable toys. Janis carries a message of equality and goodwill and dares to step out of the conventional world of art museums and art galleries to be amongst us. Janis has found a place to make us all consider issues that often divide us – usually with a smile. Frank Hyder will be at the Garden throughout the weekend talking with visitors about his creative process.

Whether you're an avid gardener or plant curious, the weekend promises to be so much more than just a plant sale. "It's going to be an entire weekend of fun, entertainment, learning, and family-friendly activities," says Executive Director James May. "It's not only the perfect weekend to find beautiful plants for your home and garden, but we are also inviting the community to enjoy a wide variety of free family-fun activities and entertainment, all while making lasting memories and exploring nature's beauty at Mounts Botanical Garden."
