Visitors will encounter authentic wartime propaganda posters, intricately hand-stitched handkerchiefs sent home by soldiers, and postcards from the U.S. Navy Atlantic Fleet, offering a poignant glimpse into personal and collective narratives of the era. The MOWT Gala promises an evening of elegance and cultural enrichment. Guests will enjoy a wine-tasting experience followed by a plated dinner from Wichita's renowned George's French Bistro. The event will feature a keynote address by Dr. Andrew Orr of Kansas State University, providing insights into the historical significance of the exhibit. "Over There, Over Here" refers to the contrasting perspectives of civilians viewing soldiers as being "over there" and the soldiers' own experiences in the trenches as "over here."
