He founded Help R Heroes in 2021 to offer crafting classes to veterans. "Veterans are able to use their hands and their minds again, as part of a group. It gives them a purpose. And the business gives them a direction," says Mr. Scaife. All materials, equipment, instruction, and use of the training facility are provided to veterans free of charge. Veterans in need of help with financial support will be offered income-producing opportunities and a route to financial independence.
