Follow on Google News | ![]() Charity Golf Classic Scheduled May 22 at Verandah, Proceeds Benefit Goodwill Programs and ServicesThis fun four-person scramble is scheduled for May 22nd at Verandah Golf Club. Proceeds benefit programs and services offered through Goodwill SWFL that help people with disabilities and disadvantages remove barriers to their independence. "We invite players to enjoy a top-notch area golf course while also supporting our mission of helping more than 24,000 individuals annually in Southwest Florida improve their lives," said John Nadeau, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida CEO/President. Players will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on the Old Orange course at Verandah, followed by lunch and prizes in the club restaurant. The top prize will be a Golf Vacation to play at Pebble Beach, including airfare, hotel and golf accommodations — to win, a player must score a Hole-in-One on the designated hole during the tournament. Dozens of other prizes will be available through course contests and raffles. Cost is $225 per player or $750 per foursome. A limited number of sponsorships are available.
